Amy Wright is from the North East of England.
She performed her first comedy gig at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and has writing and performing since, with a set that often includes poetry and songs.
In 2012, Amy was featured on the Time Out blog for telling Dr Dr jokes to private patients from a surgery on Harley Street. She performed her first solo comedy show, Occupied, at Camden Fringe and from the living room of a bed and breakfast as part of the Edinburgh Fringe, where she won best newcomer at the Existential Review Awards. An odd event, where her prize was a pint of bitter.
